Lunar Gardening Guide: What to Plant Now

Lunar gardening is an ancient practice that uses moon phases to guide planting and harvesting.

New Moon

The moon's gravity pulls water up, and the increasing moonlight creates balanced root and leaf growth. It is the best time to plant above-ground crops that produce seeds outside the fruit, such as lettuce, spinach, celery, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and grain crops.

Waxing Moon

The gravitational pull is less, but the moonlight is strong, creating strong leaf growth. It is generally a good time to plant, especially two days before the full moon.
